I DID IT!!!
I finally got three clicks today and rode Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey!!!!!! I will post my thoughts on the ride in detail later tonight/tomorrow, but for now just take a look at the on-ride picture. I feel so amazing right now!
Edit: Thank you everyone for all your congrats and well wishes! I am still on cloud 9 right now about getting to ride Forbidden Journey! I am still planning on doing a full report on my experience and what happened, but this weekend has been a busy one for me. Expect me to post my review sometime tomorrow morning (Monday) before I go to work.

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today, because Mugglenet made a post about it! And you are inspiring me.
I'm from Norway and I'm going with some friends to Orlando in November. I'm been trying to loose weight before the trip just because it make the trip more fun, but now I have one more thing to motivate me! I have no idea if I'm too big for the Forbidden Journey ride, but I will not take the chance of not being able to ride it, since this is probably the one and only time I'll be able to go to Orlando. It's amazing that you made your goal so soon, and that makes me think I can make my goal too. So thank you for inspiring me, and good luck to you on your continuing journey!
Yeah Banks!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete12 pounds--!! Visual? two 5lb bags of sugar and a 2lb box! do it Banks!
ReplyDeleteWHOOOOOOH! congratulations! i love hearing inspiring stories like this, and it's even better because you're a harry fan! (:
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I read this on Mugglenet and just HAD to let you know that you are amazing! I had the chance to ride that ride and it was spectacular, so I'm happy that you also had that opportunity! Congrats =)
ReplyDeleteI am interested to know how much you actually weigh as im going next week and i am worried that i wont fit im a big lad but i do fit in normal coaster seats and dont have to go in the modified seating
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic! Congratulations, sir! I am so happy for you! What a wonderful motivation, and an even more amazing reward! Everyone should ride this wonderful ride at least once in their life and I am so happy that you did!
ReplyDeleteThat's such wonderful news! I haven't been following your blog closely like some, but I'm glad that I stuck around to see the happy ending!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's next for you?
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I'm trying to lose weight so I can ride the Forbidden Journey on our upcoming trip to Orlando. If it's not too much to ask, can you do me and your other loyal readers a favor and list your measurements so we can know whether or not we will fit? I hear it can be too tight for people in the shoulders, around the chest, around the belly button, and around the thighs.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! :D You've inspired me.
ReplyDeleteHow totally awesome! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteYou are great!! Congratulations on your achievement! You are such an inspiration! I'm hoping I can get three clicks when I climb on in in a few days! Woot!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Congratulations! Can't wait to hear what you think of it, I'm glad you were able to lose the weight and get on the ride.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteComing from me ( a person who has tried to lose weight at least eight times, with little to no results) that is an amazing feat. I have never been as motivated as i am after reading this blog. You really make we want to try again, but harder.you are so lucky to be able to have such interesting places to go to for your enjoyment as well as excersize. i am so happy for you and i hope you loved the ride as much as i did (five times in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!)
I'm happy about your ride, but I'm even happier for your health improvements and the example you've given people of how to turn a setback into a motivator. You have a wonderful attitude, and you really earned your experience on Forbidden Journey - I hope it brought a sense of pride and satisfaction that lasts and lasts.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! It's truely an amazing ride. Thank you so much for being so upfront with this journey. I have enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to hearing more about your magical first ride.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I've never even met you, but I'm so proud of you! You really did it! Keep going with the diet + exercise!
ReplyDeleteWell done :D Hope you enjoyed it :D cant wait to hear about it :D
ReplyDeletehow how how how how did u do it so fast??
ReplyDeleteYou really are amazing!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the ride. Though, I have to say, even if the ride didn't seem worth it to you, you should be very proud of yourself for making yourself a healthier person. Keep up the walking...maybe I'll see you in a 10k one day...? Congrats again for sticking with it!!
ReplyDeletecongratss :) hope you enjoyed it
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Glad to see that you reached your goal!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I myself am on the same weight loss journey after being kicked off the Forbidden Journey ride back in July. I flew all the way from Pennsylvania just to go on that ride and when I was kicked off it was so devastating. Now I am on my way to a thinner healthier self and hopefully next year when I go back down to Florida on vacation I will get to ride this amazing ride. You are an inspiration to me and I hope I am as successful as you. =o)
ReplyDeleteGreat work! I think it's fabulous you took the steps necessary to address your weight - regardless of motivation.
ReplyDeleteYou will be an inspiration for others! :)
Regards,
Andrew.
