Progress

I recently made a trip over to Universal this past weekend to attend a taping of Family Feud. I met up with some friends and we decided to hit up Islands of Adventure before the taping. We didn't go to Potter, but we did ride Hulk & Dr. Doom. With Hulk, I have to sit in the modified seat, and with the seats on both Hulk and Doom, I've always had to wiggle my butt to slide into the seat, as my hips were too big. Well when I went to sit down on Hulk, I was amazed to find that I fit just right in the seat, no wiggle required! Same thing went for Doom, sat right down with no problem! Both restraints also have to have a seat belt buckled, and I was able to buckle them with no assistance for the first time in a while! So progress is being made, ladies & gentlemen!

Question of the day: If you have attended a taping of Family Feud at Universal this summer, or have seen the previews on their YouTube, what do you think of Steve Harvey as the new host? Personally, I like him! He is very funny during and between tapings.

  5. Congratulations! YAY! The best host ever of family feud is Richard Dawson and you know what? Damn the man that says otherwise. No other game show host has gone to first base with the majority of their female contestants.... on air anyway.

  6. Congratulations Bank! I know that sometimes it's disheartening when you been on a diet for over two month and really don't see (physically) a difference. This test must have been a real reminder of the huge steps that you have taken! Looking forward to your next milestone. :D

  9. How exciting! :) I wanted to let you know I am starting the HCG Diet. I too am sad that I can't/won't fit in the ride, so I am going to be doing this diet. You can keep track of my progress at http://www.shoewee.wordpress.com You said you are down to 299, so I have to lose about 60 pounds in order to fit. Hopefully that will happen over the next month!

So very happy to see you are making such progress. I check your blog regularly and am very thankful that you have shown that you will go until you get your 3-clicks and then some. It helps me stick through my own fitness makeover.

  12. So glad you are seeing progress! it is so encouraging. I know the "wiggle into the seat" routine by heart LOL. I was so afraid that even after loosing 21 lbs I wouldn't fit into the forbidden journey, and it was very close. I bet you will make it the next time you try! Be sure and let us know asap!!!

  13. Good for you! Your story is inspirational. I applaud you for not taking the typical American route and suing Universal for not making seats that accommodate everyone. Instead you chose to see this as a wake-up call to protect your health. At your age and your weight you needed a wake-up call. Thanks for being the hero in this story.

I agree that Richard Dawson was the best Family Feud host, but it's a shame that his ego got the best of him. My family would love to be on the new Family Feud, but in order to audition all 5 family members have to go to Orlando - and that's just for the audition - no guarantee of getting on the show. I wish they'd let us send in video tapes. :(

Can't wait to hear about your ride...
    Misty
